Skating Rink

With the ice pellets and freezing rain from last night’s snowstorm, the roads have become a huge skating rink. No less than shoes with blades or spikes should be used by people walking the sidewalks. It is THAT precarious. From my 6th floor view this morning, I saw the cars move at a crawl along the street, and some snowplows and ’salt dispenser’ trucks making the thoroughfares less slippery and safer to navigate. The city does look picture-perfect with all the roofs and the grounds blanketed with the white stuff. I would have loved it if it were not so dangerous.

  1. what a wonderful sight! here in manila, we had rains and rains and rains yesterday, and my kids could not help but pity the sidewalk vendors and the poor men in the streets.
